AWASE gallery + biscuit gallery「Echoscape」

本企画では、日本と韓国、それぞれを拠点に活動する若手アーティストを各ギャラリーより1名ずつ選出し、計4名（日本人2名、韓国人2名）による「Echoscape」を開催します。

AWASE galleryからは、ゴヨンと澤あも愛紅による２人展を、biscuit galleryからはハム・ソンジュと田中嵐による2人展を紹介。
文化や社会背景の異なる両国のアーティストが、対照的な表現を通して交錯することで、単なる「交流」にとどまらない、美術を介した対話の場を創出します。
それぞれの二人展は、形式も素材も異なるアプローチで構成されます。作品同士の響き合いから生まれる新たな価値や、個の表現の強度に加え、同時代を生きる作家たちの「共鳴」と「差異」をあえて同じ空間に立ち上げることで、多層的な鑑賞体験を目指します。

biscuit galleryは、2021年1月に新たな可能性を求めて設立された現代アートギャラリーです。コロナ禍という困難な時期に誕生した私たちは、変革と創造の精神を持ち合わせており、新しいアートの形を模索し続けています。オンラインとオフラインの境界を超え、日本国内外の才能あるアーティストたちの作品をグローバルに紹介することで、アートが人々の生活に新しい価値と喜びをもたらすことを信じています。東京・新宿の中心地に位置するギャラリーは、新進気鋭の現代アート作家が活躍できる場所を提供し、一般の人々が気軽にアートに触れられる空間を作ることを目指しています。パンデミックを経ても変わらず、私たちはアートを通じて世界と繋がり、文化の多様性と創造性を広めることに尽力しています。biscuit galleryは、これからもアートシーンに新しい風を吹き込み続けます。

biscuit gallery is a contemporary art gallery established in January 2021 in search of new possibilities. Established during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we embody a spirit of transformation and creativity, continuously exploring new forms of art. By transcending the boundaries between online and offline, we introduce the works of talented artists from Japan and abroad to a global audience, believing that art brings new value and joy to people’s lives.
Located in the heart of Shinjuku, Tokyo, our gallery provides a platform for emerging contemporary artists and aims to create a space where the public can easily engage with art. Despite the pandemic, we remain committed to connecting with the world through art and promoting cultural diversity and creativity. biscuit gallery will continue to bring fresh perspectives to the art scene.

 

【AWASE gallery】

AWASE galleryは、建築家・松井陸とアーティスト・山田康平によって運営される、東京・新宿を拠点とするアーティストランスペースです。アートスペース「nudge field」を基盤に、美術の個展やグループ展を中心に展開しつつ、建築やメディアカルチャーなど異分野との交差によって、新たな表現の可能性を探ります。年間プログラムは山田が監修し、松井が建築的視点を加えることで、美術と建築の協働プロジェクトや、建築技術を取り入れた展示、美術家による空間への介入など、領域横断的な試みを実施。建築とアートの融合を軸に、これまでにない展示体験を提案します。

AWASE gallery is an artist-run space based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, founded by architect Riku Matsui and artist Kohei Yamada. Located in the art hub nudge field, the gallery focuses on solo and group exhibitions, while exploring new forms of expression through the intersection of visual art, architecture, and media culture.
With annual programming curated by Yamada and architectural perspectives brought in by Matsui, AWASE gallery presents interdisciplinary projects where artists and architects collaborate.
By integrating architectural elements into artworks and engaging artists in spatial experimentation, the gallery aims to offer innovative exhibition experiences and expand the possibilities of creative expression.
