It has been decided that multiple exhibitions that cross art and various other fields will be held at the art fair "MEET YOUR ARTISTS -CROSS OVER-" to be held within the festival.

At "BLOCK PARTY," located in the center of the venue, ESOW, Kosuke Kawamura, Face Oka, NAIJEL GRAPH, and MHAK | Masahiro Akutagawa will dynamically utilize a total of 30 meters of wall space to create a conceptual exhibition that depicts Tokyo's cultural scene, which has been formed through the natural intersection and resonance of different disciplines. Other exhibits include "Divers Narratives—Intersecting Gazes," a special collaboration with ELLE that unravels the multilayered values and individual perspectives of modern society through the eyes of six artists: Saya Irie, WEI JIA, Mariko Kitajima, Emi Kusano, Ryo Kobayashi, and Hona Saito; a solo exhibition by MISATO ANDO; "Thailand, what's going on?", the first project curated by contemporary artist Sarina Sattapong; and "Touching Beyond Words" by Osaka-based Marco Gallery. Planned exhibitions include "Know-mad Toy," a project that practices having fun without understanding; a project by NEORT++ that explores the expandability of art through technology; and a "Double Japan-Korea Two-Person Exhibition" featuring two Japanese and two Korean artists, a collaboration between AWASE gallery and biscuit gallery, which opened the art space "nudge field" in Shinjuku this spring. In addition, several other cross-disciplinary projects are scheduled to be announced in the future.

Through these projects, the art fair "MEET YOUR ARTISTS -CROSS OVER-" within "MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2025" will embody the interdisciplinary nature of planning and collaboration that is unique to MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL. It also aims to provide an opportunity for visitors to develop a new interest in art.

■ELLE × MEET YOUR ART "Divers Narratives - Intersecting Gazes"

For 80 years since its launch, ELLE has been exploring the possibilities of personal perspectives together with its readers, and this year it will once again hold a special exhibition in collaboration with MEET YOUR ART, featuring six artists under the theme "Divers Narratives - Intersecting Gazes."

"Divers Narratives - Intersecting Gazes"

The world is made up of countless stories.

Different voices, different bodies, different memories.

Films project diverse lives onto one screen,

As if asking new questions about our daily lives,

Artworks also reflect the expressions and values of artists.

It gives us an opportunity to rediscover it.

This project aims to encourage viewers to become aware of perspectives different from their own and to reexamine the true nature of the world through the eyes of artists who transcend gender, roots, and media.

Marco Gallery “Know-mad Toy”

Rather than prioritizing explanations or meanings in the exhibits, this exhibition places importance on intuitive contact and physical sensation. Just like the space of a toy store, the moment you see something, you are drawn to it for no apparent reason, and you instinctively want to reach out and touch it - we believe that this kind of experience will serve as a gateway.

In today's society, we seek meaning in things so excessively that it feels as though the act of "believing" itself is becoming difficult. If faith is something that emerges not through explanation, but through resonance, space, and silence, then perhaps we have become quite distant from that feeling. That is why the roots of this exhibition are based on the modest question: let's first let go of words and just play. Perhaps enjoying something without understanding it is itself a small act of "belief" in today's age.

In the past, toys were not just playthings. In various cultures, clay figurines, dolls, miniatures, and masks have been used as tools to connect with gods and invisible beings. These objects undoubtedly embodied a belief in something beyond explanation.

Toys are not meaningless; rather, they may have been the first pre-verbal medium for interacting with the world. And play is perhaps the most primordial form of communication, exchanged without words. This exhibition attempts to discover the possibilities for quiet faith and knowledge in such "play."

Touching beyond words. Enjoying without understanding. And trusting in the atmosphere and the signs, rather than meaning. I hope that such a gentle space will emerge through this fantasy toy store.

■AWASE gallery+biscuit gallery “Ecoscape”

For this project, one young artist based in Japan and one based in Korea will be selected from each gallery, and a "Double Japan-Korea Two-Artist Exhibition" will be held featuring a total of four artists (two Japanese and two Korean).

AWASE gallery will present a two-person exhibition by Goyon and Sawa Amo Aiko, while biscuit gallery will present a two-person exhibition by Ham Seongju and Tanaka Arashi.

By bringing together artists from two countries with different cultural and social backgrounds through contrasting forms of expression, we aim to create a forum for dialogue through art that goes beyond mere "exchange."

Each exhibition will be composed of different approaches in terms of format and materials. In addition to the new value that emerges from the resonance between the works and the strength of each individual expression, we aim to create a multi-layered viewing experience by deliberately bringing together in the same space the "resonances" and "differences" of artists living in the same era.

Thailand, what's going on?” Curated by Sareena Sattapon

Curated by Thai-born contemporary artist Sarina Sattapong, who is based in Tokyo, "Thailand, what's going on?" is a group exhibition introducing nine contemporary Thai artists working in a variety of media, including performance, painting, drawing, sculpture, craft, and installation.

The exhibition offers a multi-layered and nuanced portrayal of contemporary Thailand from each artist's unique perspective. Rather than presenting a single narrative, the works unfold through a diversity of voices, perspectives, and methods. By touching on themes such as war, historical trauma, everyday life, gender Identity, memory, and the shifting dynamics of politics and power, the works encourage a broader dialogue about the current state of Thai society.

The very title itself, in the form of a question, symbolizes both urgency and an open stance: it aims to invite the viewer into the complex reality that lies beneath the surface expression, not to present definitive answers but to provide a platform where questions, contradictions, and possibilities can coexist.
