Rei Kunimoto
Born in New York in 1991, raised in Tokyo. Active in New York since 2017 and Tokyo since 2021.
Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Aesthetics and Art History.
Utilizing unique 3D sound systems and technology, he creates installation works that closely relate the behavior of the viewer to the space.
With the theme of "silence", we combine traditional Japanese aesthetic sense with modern technology, and present new acoustic experiences by crossing various fields such as sound production, engineering, sculpture, and spatial design.
He has presented sound installation works and performed live performances all over the world, including Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Taiwan, and the United States.

His artworks employ unique 3D sound systems and technology to create intimate connections between the audience as they see and hear the work, and the space in which the work itself is situated.
Under the theme of Silence, these aural experiences and physical objects utilize the tools and traditions of a variety of fields including composition, engineering, sculpture, installation art, and performance.
He has presented his sound installation works in Japan, UAE, Taiwan, and other countries.
