YU SORA

  • ART FAIR - MEET YOUR ARTISTS -CO-CROSSOVER -Romantic beyond us (earth)-
Born in 1987 in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Graduated from Hongik University (South Korea), Department of Sculpture, in 2011. Completed the master's program in sculpture at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2020. They exhibit works using white cloth and black thread, including two-dimensional embroidery installations and three-dimensional pieces. Participated in Koganecho Bazaar in 2013, received the Excellence Award at the Tokyo Midtown Award in 2018, and participated in Roppongi Art Night in 2019. In 2020, he won the Mori Prize at the 68th Tokyo University of the Arts Completion Exhibition. Received the Grand Prix at the 2022 sanwa company Art Award.
Recent major solo exhibitions include "Umbrella at the Entrance, Glasses at the Pillow" (TEZUKAYAMA G ALL ERY, Osaka), "Mozuku, Egg" (Shiseido Gallery, Tokyo, 2023), BankART Under35 (BankART KAI KO, Yokohama, 2022), "Ordinary Day" (Amalove Art Lab A-lab, Hyogo, 2021), "Trivial Anniversaries" (Lotte Gallery, Seoul, 2018), "Moving" (YCC Gallery, Yokohama, 2017), among others.

Born in 1987 in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, Yu Sora graduated from Hongik University in 2011 with B.A. in Sculpture and received her M.F.A. in Sculpture from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2020. In 2020, she was awarded the 68th Tokyo University of the Arts Graduation Exhibition Purchase Prize and the Mori Prize. won the sanwa company Art Award for Grand Prix in 2022.
