Born in Tokyo in 1990. Takayama creates paintings mainly using two-dimensional works, spraying acrylic paint with a syringe. He creates works using a technique that can be described as tactile or sculptural, treating the paint like flowing particles, layering them, and then carving them with a carving knife. He sublimates the sensation of touching materials into expression, as if trying to recover the relationship between various objects and humans that has been lost in modern times. The world of Takayama's works expands based on a view of nature in which people, animals, objects, and the environment are one.
