Kohei Yamada was born in Osaka in 1997. He graduated from the Department of Oil Painting at Musashino Art University in 2020 and completed his Master's degree in Fine Arts and Crafts Oil Painting at Kyoto University of the Arts in 2022. He is currently based in Tokyo.

Major solo exhibitions include "Strikethrough" Taka Ishii Gallery (Tokyo, 2023), "As if Hiding It" biscuit gallery (Tokyo, 2022), "How the Lines Are Entered" MtK Contemporary Art (Kyoto, 2022), Kyoto Okazaki Tsutaya Bookstore Gallery Space (Kyoto, 2022), and "road" Daikanyama Hillside Terrace Annex A (Tokyo, 2021). His major group exhibitions include "young okazaki vol.4" MtK Contemporary Art (Kyoto, 2024), "Abstraction (re)creation – 20 under 40" Le Consortium (Dijon, 2024), "nine colors XVI" Seibu Shibuya (Tokyo, 2022), "biscuit gallery Opening Exhibition II" biscuit gallery (Tokyo, 2021), "Up_01" Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore GINZA ATRIUM (Tokyo, 2021), and the art fair "ARTISTS' AIR KYOTO" Kyoto Museum Annex (Kyoto, 2021, 2020).
