伊藤瑞生

Born in Yugawara, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1996, she currently works from her base in Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture. She primarily creates her art outdoors, carefully observing the plants and garden she cultivates, as well as the insects and birds that inhabit them. Using the bleeding of paints, the layering of colors, and the soft touch of pastels, she observes the light, wind, and the ever-changing landscape of her garden, feeling them with her body, and attempts to capture the shifting impressions and sensations in her work. The sensations she gains from her daily life form the foundation of her work, and she sees cultivating her fields, growing plants, and spending time with her dogs and chickens as integral parts of her creative process. In addition, she runs an art class for children called "Atelier Hikari no Tane" at her home studio, working to create a space that fosters free thinking and expression.
