那須佐和子

Sawako Nasu was born in Tokyo in 1996. In 2023, she completed her studies in painting at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts (Masato Kobayashi Laboratory). Having spent her childhood in a theatrical family, she cultivated her unique spatial expression through her involvement in stage design and direction. She mainly creates landscape and portrait paintings using oil paints layered thinly, and explores the possibilities of contemporary painting expression, focusing on the theme of the insurmountable gap between herself, a contemporary, and past art.
