Skripkariu Ochiai Anna
Born in Saitama in 1992. Artist.
Inspired by the search for ways to put down roots in the two home countries of Japan and Romania, he has the theme of "the connection between land and people". He has conducted fieldwork on cultural anthropology such as indigenous festivals and folk beliefs in Japan and overseas, and in recent years, as an extension of his field, he has been working on the field of primatology while creating multimedia works such as installations, photographs, videos, and paintings. Weaving "moments when things come into contact across time, distance, land and ethnicity, and become connected to the earth." Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, majoring in oil painting, and valedictorian of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Completed the Graduate School of Global Art Practice at the same university. He is a doctoral student in sculpture at the same university. Saitama Prefectural Museum of Modern Art (2020), National Gallery of Contemporary Art of Romania (2020), TokyoHis works have been exhibited around the world, including the Museum of Fine Arts (2019), the World Heritage Château de Chambord in France (2018), and Hoi An, Vietnam (2019). Major awards include ARTnews Japan's "30 ARTISTS U35 2022", "TERRADA ART AWARD 2021" Washida Mero Award, "Forbes Japan 30 UNDER 30" 2020, and "Y.A.C. RESULTS 2020" SWITCHLAB / Romania. In Reiwa 4, he was active in Romania as an overseas trainee of the POLA Art Foundation.

Ana Scripcariu-Ochiai is a mixedmedia artist who sensitively explores ways to take root in her two home countries of Japan and Romania under the theme, "connections between land and people." She performs cultural and anthropological field work including documentation of indigenous festivals and folk religions in various parts of Japan and abroad. In recent years, she has been involved in the field of primatology as an extension of her work. Ana Scripcariu-Ochiai graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts with a degree in Oil Painting at the top of her class and as a valedictorian of the Faculty of Fine Arts, where she also completed an MA in Global Art Practice. She is now enrolled in the doctoral program in sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts. She has had exhibition in Japan and internationally: at The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama, Japan (2020-2021); The National Museum of Contemporary Art, Romania (2020); Hoi An, Vietnam (2019); Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan (2019); Chambord, Paris, France (2017) etc. Major awards include ARTnews Japan "30 ARTISTS U35 2022", "TERRADA ART AWARD 2021" Washida Meruro Prize, "Forbes Japan 30 UNDER 30" 2020, "YAC RESULTS 2020" SWITCHLAB / Romania etc. Currently working in Romania as an overseas researcher of the Pola Art Foundation in 2022.

Graduated from Nihon University College of Art, Department of Photography, worked at Daikanyama Studio before becoming independent.
