  • ART FAIR - PICK UP ARTIST
Akihiro Hasegawa was born in Mie Prefecture in 1997. Born in a temple of the Tendai sect, received a degree in 2009,
In 2019, he completed the 4th Kagyo at Saikyoji Temple, the head temple of Tendai Shinsei sect.
In 2016, he entered the design department of Tokyo University of the Arts, and since 2020 he has been enrolled in the design major of the same graduate school, while continuing his artist activities.
Hasegawa's works, which have a bird's-eye view of emotions, thoughts, the body, and the existence of life, offer a glimpse of his unique attitude derived from the Buddhist thought that forms the basis of his work, questioning views on life and death and human existence itself. I will come.
Hasegawa, who has been strongly attracted to “light” both visually and ideologically since childhood, expresses this original experience in his works.
