I love looking at lines that feel good to look at, and I started observing those highly abstract, "cool lines" found in pottery such as Oribe ware and E-Karatsu ware, using my own drawing habits. As a result, I developed my own characters and doodle-like painting style using a G-pen. I don't really have the intention to draw "characters" with depth (a defined backstory); I paint with the nuance that if I draw good lines, the result happens to look like a character. On top of that, I create various forms while referencing traditional forms that are connected to the expression of Japanese ceramics.
