Naoya Hirata was born in Nagano Prefecture in 1991. Graduated from the Department of Sculpture, Faculty of Art and Design, Musashino Art University in 2014. Using ready-made 3D models and images collected from the Internet space as materials on the theme of space, time, and physicality, he presents virtual sculptures constructed in the virtual space of a PC, mainly using the method of assemblage. In virtual space, the same gravity as the earth is defined by numerical values, and the projected object "imitates" the physical behavior of the real space by calculation. Through the use of temporary images, he embodies another reality that exists in a new order, and by experimenting with a number of possible versions of the world, he reexamines the relationship between real things and examines contemporary interpretations of the history of sculpture.
