林田 真季

Visual artist based in Tokyo. Interested in the photographic medium and its various forms, he experiments with both digital and analog processes, challenging photography as a contemporary art form that reflects society. By incorporating the contradictory relationship between photography and the environment, he questions the materiality and reproducibility of the photographic medium in the digital age. Major exhibitions include "The 17th shiseido art egg" (Shiseido Gallery, Tokyo, 2024) and "KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival 'KG+SELECT'" (2021). Major awards include: "Arles International Festival of Photography LUMA Rencontres Dummy Book Award" (2023), "Singapore International Festival of Photography Dummy Book Award" Grand Prix (2020).
