澁木智宏

Born in Otaru, Hokkaido in 1986. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Industrial, Craft and Design, majoring in Textiles. Her work is characterized by tactile 3D pieces and costumes, mainly made of felt, and installations using everyday objects, and her creative activities reinterpret the individual things that people unconsciously recognize in their daily lives from the perspective of unity and continuity. By using methods such as "blurring the subject equally" and "extracting commonalities," she creates opportunities to evoke harmony in connections by confronting the intrinsic nature that we all share, rather than the individuality of the surface. This year, she won three awards at the international fashion contest "ITS," and her work spans the fields of art, design and fashion.
