Artist. Through various forms such as installations, videos, and performances, he creates works that suggest the presence of invisible objects through the viewer's gaze and movement. Since 2016, she has performed as part of the unit 'Yuga' with Megumi Kamimura. Since 2021, starting with running, they have held running events called "and run," which resemble touring performances, across various locations. Major solo exhibitions include the 2020 "Trilogue" (TARO NASU), the 2025 "Spectrum Spectrum" (Ginza Maison Hermès), and the 2021 "Asia-Pacific Triennale" (QAGOMA, Brisbane), among others. Received his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts in 2013. In 2019, he stayed in New York as a grantee for ACC. Winner of the Tokyo Contemporary Art Award 2022-2024. From 2021, he served as an associate professor at Kanazawa College of Art and Crafts, and from 2025, associate professor at Kyoto City University of Arts.

Michiko TSUDA has persistently examined the volatility of human perception—and the glimpse of the richness of illusion s afforded by that volatility—by manipulating our sensations in terms of understanding space and time. Tsuda’s works take a variety of forms, such as installation, performance, and video implying an invisible presence wavering in response to the appreciator’s perspective and behavior. The lecture-performance-like running event follows my own running route, which I started creating in 2023, with the participants. Exhibitions include the solo show "Trilogue" (TARO NASU, Tokyo, 2020), "Observing Forest" (zarya contemporary art center, Vladivostok, 2017), and the group exhibition “ Spektrum Spektrum” (GINZA MAISON HERMÈS, 2025), “ICC Annual 2023: Shapes of Things” (NTT InterCommunication Center[ICC]), “10th Asia Pacific Triennial” (Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, 2021), "Aichi Triennale 2019" (Ito Residence, 2019). She completed a Doctoral Program in Film and New Media Studies at the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts, in 2013, received a grant from the Asian Cultural Council(ACC ) for a 6-month residency in New York in 2019, received the Tokyo Contemporary Art Award 2022-2024, and now an associate professor at Kyoto City University of Art, Faculty of the Arts from 2025.
