  • ART FAIR - PICK UP ARTIST
  • ART FAIR - CROSSOVER
Yang Bo was born in Hubei Province, China in 1991 and moved to Miyagi Prefecture in 2001.
He has consistently created works on the theme of pop culture and the sense of distance involved in its acceptance. Despite the fact that people and events exist very far away, Yang has enjoyed pop culture centered on music as something that is psychologically extremely intimate, and he creates a unique world of works by mixing portraits of pop stars and the various scenes they color with his own life scenes.
In 2019, he completed oil painting at the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. Currently based in Tokyo. Recent solo exhibitions include "(Remember Mama Said) You Can't Hurry Love" (2022, Yutaka Kikutake Gallery, Tokyo), "no tears(2021, NADiff Window Gallery, Tokyo), group exhibitions include "working / editing production and editing" (2020, Akibatamabi, Tokyo), and "The Course of true love never did run smooth" (2019, EUKA RYO TE, Tokyo).
