「MEET YOUR ARTISTS Beyond the Studio」START Box × MYAF2026

START Box is a project by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture Arts Council Tokyo that provides creative spaces for young artists who have difficulty securing studios and other facilities, and supports their continued activities. In addition to providing a production environment, it supports the activities of young artists through interaction with the local community and other artists, and the creation of opportunities to present their work.
MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2026 will gather the emerging signs of culture and open a space for cultural practices toward Miraie.
This exhibition showcases the creative activities of three artists who have been working at START Box: Eri Fukami, Ayame Fujiwara, and unu, and how their work is beginning to unfold into society.
START Box is a place where artwork is created, but it is also a place where expression is nurtured through repeated thought and experimentation. The three artists continue to update their own expressive domains through their different perspectives and practices.
This exhibition aims to go beyond simply appreciating artworks, and instead provide an opportunity to experience how the expressions nurtured at START Box are encountering society through the open space of a festival, leading to new cultural practices.
