[“Earth as a Circuit” statement]
"Earthing (installation)" is a technology (equipment) that flows charged electricity to the ground and incorporates the earth as one of the circuits. It stabilizes itself while deflecting the charged energy. The exhibition space expresses the world as each artist sees it, and is filled with different colored energies. A performance by two people who throw their bodies into the space, parry that energy, and evoke the world that surrounds it. This may be the very earthing (installation) of the exhibition.
Mirai Moriyama and Saori Hara are artists who transcend boundaries while making the body the main focus of their expression. As bodies living in the same era, the two of them pass through the works, layering their words and movements. This space, the works in it, and the presence of the other person permeate each other, bringing about slight changes. The very small events that occur when someone's words or presence pass through your body. At the same time, it is also a metaphor for the audience responding to the exhibition space.
An exhibition is just one unit. Rather than looking at things based on that scale alone, we look at things from a perspective that further subtracts the presence of the audience, who are there. What exists there is a world that stretches endlessly into layers: the work, the person looking at it, the architecture that envelops it, the city that surrounds it. Their ``intersecting gaze'' and their multi-layered performance that reflects the things surrounding them invites even the audience into the circuit.
