SKE48 was launched in Sakae Nagoya in July 2008 as the first nationwide expansion of AKB48. On October 2008, they started shows at the SKE48 theater.  Their intense dancing and fanatic call and response with fans are the greatest among the ‘48’ group franchise. They appear on various media outlets like TV, radio and magazines. They also hold shows at the theater, during concert tours and other events nationwide. Their 17 consecutive singles have ranked #1 the Oricon chart.  5 members including ace Jurina Matsui, were selected and 19 members ranked high in the 9th AKB48 election that was held in June of this year. It’s been 8 years since the group was formed and SKE48 continues to gain strength.
