1990年熊本生まれ。京都を拠点に活動するキュレーター／アートマネージャー。
2016年より独学で展覧会企画を始め、歴史や土地の感覚、精神性などを背景に、現代美術を通して、人々の価値観や感覚、思考が交差する場を企画している。また、キュレーションに加え、国内外アーティストの制作・展示・プロジェクトマネジメントなど、アーティスト支援やコーディネートも手がける。
主な企画に「Ahead of the Rediscovery Stream」（MYAF 2025 Exhibition、2025／東京・寺田倉庫、共同キュレーション）、「和を以て景を綴る」（2025／東京・WALL alternative）、「Paraphrase」（2023／ロームシアター京都）、「和を以て物語をなす」（2023／京都・瑞雲庵）など。
その他、「KYOTOGRAPHIE 京都国際写真祭」（2018–2019）パブリックプログラム・マネージャー、「haku kyoto」（2020–2023）ギャラリーディレクター、「森の芸術祭 晴れの国・岡山」（2024）、「神戸六甲ミーツ・アート」（2025、2026）でのアーティストサポート／制作コーディネート、「Lightseeing Kyoto South」（2025–2026）共同キュレーターなどを務める。

Born in Kumamoto in 1990, Kentaro Watanabe is a curator and art manager based in Kyoto. Since 2016, he has independently organised exhibitions and art projects that explore intersections of history, locality, spirituality, and contemporary art, creating contexts in which diverse values, sensibilities, and ways of thinking can encounter one another. In addition to curatorial practice, he also works in artist support and coordination, including exhibition production, project management, and international collaboration with artists.
His major curatorial projects include "Ahead of the Rediscovery Stream" (MYAF 2025 Exhibition, co-curated, Terrada Warehouse, Tokyo, 2025), "Weaving Landscapes with Harmony” (WALL alternative, Tokyo, 2025), "Paraphrase" (ROHM Theatre Kyoto, 2023), and "Weaving a Story in Harmony" (Zuiun-an, Kyoto, 2023).
He has also served as Public Program Manager for KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival (2018–2019), Gallery Director of haku kyoto (2020–2023), co-curator of Lightseeing Kyoto South (2025–2026), and has worked on artist support and production coordination for Forest Festival of the Arts Okayama: Clear-skies Country (2024) and KOBE ROKKO MEETS ART (2025).
