石川晶子

日常の中に埋もれていく風景や、生活の中で使われてきた素材を手がかりに、刺繍、コラージュ、昇華転写プリントを用いて、蓄積された時間や記憶の気配を可視化する。近年は、実家の鉄工所をモチーフに、継承の過程で生じる変化や重なりに目を向けている。
多摩美術大学テキスタイルデザイン専攻卒業。同大学統合デザイン学科研究室にて副手・助手として勤務後、アーティスト・青山悟のアシスタントを務めている。

Shoko Ishikawa explores scenes that fade into the everyday and materials rooted in daily life, using embroidery, collage, and dye-sublimation printing to render visible traces of accumulated time and memory. In recent years, her practice has focused on her family’s ironworks factory, examining the shifts and layers that emerge through processes of inheritance.
Graduated from the Textile Design program at Tama Art University. After working as a research and teaching assistant in the Department of Integrated Design at the same university, she is currently an assistant to artist Satoru Aoyama.
