八木良太

1980年生まれ。京都を拠点に活動。見たいものしか見ない・聞きたいことしか聞かないといった、我々の制限的な知覚システムあるいは態度に対する批判的思考をベースに作品制作を行う。既製品を用いて作品を構成し、その現れによって人間の知覚やそれを利用した工学的システムを浮かび上がらせるような作品を発表している。音響作品をはじめとして、オブジェや映像、インスタレーションからインタラクティブな作品など、表現手法は多岐にわたる。

Born in 1980, lives and works in Kyoto. Yagi produces works to attempt our limited perceptual system or attitude that we only see what we want to see and we only hear what we want to hear through a critical thinking approach. Often incorporating ready-made system and tools, Yagi generates a phenomenon to enable human perception and engineering systems to come out clearly in fresh wonder. Mediums to express his idea range widely from sound art, sculpture, video, installation to interactive art.
