1990년 구마모토 출생. 교토를 거점으로 활동하는 큐레이터 / 아트 매니저.
2016년부터 독학으로 전람회 기획을 시작해 역사와 토지의 감각, 정신성 등을 배경으로 현대미술을 통해 사람들의 가치관과 감각, 사고가 교차하는 장소를 기획하고 있다. 또, 큐레이션에 가세해 국내외 아티스트의 제작·전시·프로젝트 매니지먼트 등, 아티스트 지원이나 코디네이터도 다룬다.
주요 기획에 「Ahead of the Rediscovery Stream」(MYAF 2025 Exhibition, 2025/도쿄·테라다 창고, 공동 큐레이션 ALL, “일본으로 경을 철한다” alternative), 'Paraphrase'(2023/ ROHM Theatre Kyoto), '화를 통해 이야기를 이루다'(2023/교토·서운암) 등.
그 외, 「KYOTOGRAPHIE 교토 국제 사진제」(2018–2019) 퍼블릭 프로그램 매니저, 「haku kyoto」(2020–2023) 갤러리 디렉터, 「숲의 예술제 맑은 나라·오카야마”(2024), “고베 롯코 미츠·아트”(2025, 2026)에서의 아티스트 서포트/제작 코디네이터, “Lightseeing Kyoto South”(2025–2026) 공동 큐레이터 등을 맡는다.

Born in Kumamoto in 1990, Kentaro Watanabe is a curator and art manager based in Kyoto. Since 2016, he has independently organised exhibitions and art projects that explore intersections of history, locality, spirituality, and contemporary art, creating contexts of thinking can encounter one another. In addition to curatorial practice, he also works in artist support and coordination, including exhibition production, project management, and international collaboration with artists.
His major curatorial projects include "Ahead of the Rediscovery Stream" (MYAF 2025 Exhibition, co-curated, Terrada Warehouse, Tokyo, 2025), "Weaving Landscape s with Harmony” (W ALL alternative, Tokyo, 2025), "Paraphrase" "Weaving a Story in Harmony" (Zuiun-an, Kyoto, 2023).
He has also served as Public Program Manager for KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival (2018–2019), Gallery Director of haku kyoto (2020–2023), co-curator of Lightseeing Kyoto South (2025–2026), and has worked on artist support Clear-skies Country (2024) and KOBE ROKKO MEETS ART (2025).
