현대 아티스트 (현대 미술가)
요네야 켄과 요네야 줄리아의 아티스트 유닛. 환경문제나 사회문제 등을 테마로 꼼꼼한 리서치를 실시해, 그들을 아름답게도 유머와 독을 겸비한 작품으로 전환하는 독자적인 수법으로, 설치, 비디오, 퍼포먼스 등 다방면에 걸친 표현을 전개하고 있다. 주요 전시회로 베네치아 비엔날레(호주 대표, 2009년), 싱가포르 비엔날레(2013년), 호놀룰루 비엔날레(2017년), 마조 비엔날레(2025년) 등. 주요 개인전에 「The Last Temptation」(오스트레일리아 국립 미술관, 2015–2016년), 「《요네야 켄+쥬리아전》 그러니까 나는 구원되고 싶다」(카도카와 무사시노 박물관, 2020–2021년), 「CRYSTAL PALACE」(art cruise gallery, 도쿄, 2) 최근에는 교토의 농촌에서 무농약 농업도 운영하면서 글로벌하게 제작·전시를 하고 있다.

Contemporary artist duo
Ken + Julia Yonetani are an artist duo. Grounded in careful research into environmental and social issues, they employ a distinctive approach that transforms these themes into works that are at once beautiful and infused with both humour and a critical of media, including installation, video, and performance.
Major exhibitions include the Venice Biennale (representing Australia, 2009), the Singapore Biennale (2013), the Honolulu Biennial (2017) and the Matsu Biennial (2025). Selected solo exhibitions of include The Last Temptation (National Ken + Julia Yonetani: That Is Why I Want to Be Saved (Kadokawa Culture Museum, 2020–2021), and CRYSTAL PALACE (art cruise gallery, Tokyo, 2025).
In recent years, while also practising organic farming in rural Kyoto, they have continued to produce and exhibit their work internationally.
