건축가. 1993년 가나가와현 출생. 도쿄 예술 대학 미술 학부 건축과 졸업 후, 2017년~2023년 PRINT AND BUILD(하치노헤시 미술관 등을 담당), 2024년~고이즈미 아틀리에. 2022년부터는 사무소에서의 설계 업무 옆 주말 스튜디오를 주재. 공공건축의 설계로부터 리노베이션이나 고건축의 재생, 가구·센기의 제작, 전람회의 회장 구성·설치, 지방에서의 아트 프로젝트 등, 스케일이나 시간, 도면과 현장, 도시와 지방을 횡단하면서 프로젝트 베이스로 건축을 실천하고 있다. 주된 일에 「하치노헤시 미술관」(전직), 후쿠시마현 니시 아이즈마치 오카가와고의 사설 미술관 「후루카와 이의 기념 미술관 「농과 생활」」, 스즈키 모하에 의한 「렌트겐 예술 연구소와 그 주변」 회장 구성 등. 또 진행중인 프로젝트로서 「요코하마시립대문초등학교」설계, 니시아이즈마치에서의 전시 「도경환근립」, 다이토구 타니나카의 「히말라야스기와 구 미카도 빵점/구 아베가 주택」의 보존·개수 설계 등.

interrobang 대표. 예술, 사회, 도시를 연결하는 새로운 「구조」나 「회로」의 설계를 축으로, 기존의 경계를 넘는 다각적인 프로젝트를 견인하고 있다.
2013년부터 Chiba 마쓰도시의 아티스트 인 레지던스 PARADISE AIR의 설립에 종사해, 디렉터를 맡는다. 또한 2024부터 도쿄 예술 대학에서는 특임 준 교수로서 아트의 사회 실장에 있어서의 수법을 체계화하는 프로젝트 The Way Of 의 디렉터로 취임. 취테역 빌딩의 원 플로어를 통째로 활용한 러닝 거점 VIVA나, 유라쿠초의 아트 어바니즘의 거점 YAU의 디렉션 등, 도시의 일상 속에 아티스트가 개재하는 상황을 건축적인 시점으로부터 구축하고 있다. 건축 설계의 틀을 넘어, 제도나 커뮤니티라고 하는 불가시의 구조를 디자인하는 것으로, 사회에 있어서의 문화의 새로운 모습을 실천하고 있다.

Architect. Born in Kanagawa, Japan in 1993. After graduating from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts, he worked at PRINT AND BUILD from 2017 to 2023, contributing to projects including the2 affiliated with Koizumi Atelier. Since 2022, alongside his architectural practice, he has also directed a weekend studio initiative.
His practice spans a wide range of fields, including public architecture, renovation and restoration of historic buildings, furniture and fixture design, exhibition design and installations, and regional art projects. Working across different scales and timeframes, between drawing he approaches architecture through a project-based practice.
Major works include the Hachinohe Art Museum (completed during his previous employment), the privately operated museum “Toshii Furukawa Memorial Museum: Agriculture and Life” in Okugawa-go, Nishiaizu, Fukushima, and the exhibition design for Moe Suzuki's
Ongoing projects include the design of Yokohama Municipal Daimon Elementary School, the exhibition “Dokō Kankonritsu” in Nishiaizu, and the preservation and renovation design of “The Himalayan Cedar and the Former Mika do Bakery / Former Abe Residence” in Yanaka, Taito City, Tokyo.

Jumpei Mori
Architect /
Jumpei Mori is an architect and Project Associate Professor at Tokyo University of the Arts, where he also serves AIR Director of The Way Of. His work centers on connecting art, society, and the city by designing new social ecosystems and connections. He is a founding as VIVA and YAU. Mori's practice extends beyond buildings to the design of invisible structures, including institutional systems and community networks.
