Tomonari Sora | Yoimatsuri Lyric Video

Today, Lyric Video is released. Delicate and warm depictions by illustrator Totorika and animation by animation creator Ageh Shiiyu harmonize with the music that reflects the "Aitai person," creating a scene that gently ignites a fire deep within the heart. Mysterious things that thrive on verandas, riversides, and the hills behind the mountains. The art and texture, blending the original landscapes of rural Japan with the memories of "hometown" held in everyone's heart, blend seamlessly with the world of the song, leaving a faint aftertaste.
"Yoi Matsuri" is a work set against a dreamy and emotional summer evening, featuring fireworks blooming in the night sky, festival music echoing from afar, and the sounds of insects echoing in the fields, depicting feelings of thinking about "Aitai people." The visuals and poetry resonate, gently intersecting with each viewer's memories and scenes, creating a bittersweet yet beautiful visual experience.

Additionally, the instrumental audio and Lyric Video materials for 'Yoi Matsuri' have been released for a limited time!

- Sora Tomonari Comment -
We've always wanted to create summer songs that reach people of all ages, so this song was crafted with a more open worldview, following the tradition of 'Oni no Utage' and 'Gazing Mekko.' The first was completed last summer, and the second was completed this spring. Over about a year, I gradually weaved in memories of summer from myself and those around me, nurturing this song with the feeling of returning home. We infused the lyrics and sound with the lively brilliance unique to Japanese summer, with a sense of melancholy and unreality that suddenly drifts throughout. Lyric Video is composed of illustrations and animations filled with gentle light by Totorika, creating visuals that evoke nostalgia even when viewed for the first time. The air of a 'summer evening' is depicted with beautiful colors and composition. From this song and video, what kind of summer story comes to mind?

When I first heard the song, what came to mind was the nostalgic countryside scenery and the excitement of being able to return there after such a long time. In this video, we depict the changing lights and colors over time, fireworks that evoke memories of summer festivals, and yokai who joyfully welcome you home like friends. Through the video, I hope you can feel the nostalgia and warmth of the song more deeply.
