Tomonari Sora composed the music for "YOU ARE SPECiAL"!
The movie "Kimi ga Tokubetsu" stars Mei Hata and Kazuya Ohashi (Naniwa Danshi) in a double lead role.
This film is a live-action adaptation of the manga of the same name by Momoko Koda, known for works such as "Heroine Disqualified," "Sensei Kunshu," and "Atashi no!", directed by Reito Matsuda.
The story depicts the romance between Wakame Sahoko, an introverted girl who dislikes handsome men, played by Hata, and Kirigaya Kota, the beloved leader of the nationally popular idol group LiKE LEGEND, played by Ohashi.
LiKE LEGEND is a five-member group consisting of Yuma Kanato, played by Kimura Keito (FANTASTICS); Kurusu Haru, played by Yamanaka Jutaro (M!LK); Haruna Yuuki, played by Okubo Haru (DXTEEN); Naruse Issei, played by NAOYA (MAZZEL); and Kirigaya Kota, played by Ohashi.
The concept for the theme song they sing was conceived by Junnosuke Watanabe, the founder of WACK, the lyrics were co-written by the original author Koda and Watanabe (J×S×K), and the music was composed by Sora Tomonari.
In addition, a trailer featuring a portion of the theme song is currently available on YouTube ahead of the theatrical release on June 20th.
Please note that there are no plans to release this theme song, and you can only hear it in the movie, so be sure to check it out!

I created this song aiming to be a quintessential idol song that embodies the sparkling male idols of the Heisei era.
I listen to classic songs from the past repeatedly, studying their melodies, chords, and key changes, aiming for a sound that is somehow nostalgic yet resonates with today's times.
The members of "Likele" deliver their heartfelt feelings, so straightforward they might make you blush, through their music.
I created each note with heartfelt care, imagining such a scene.
This song was created after thoroughly reading the original work and repeatedly imagining what kind of sounds should be playing in this scene.
