1998년생. 가나가와현 즈시시 성장. 2021년 도쿄예술대학 미술학부 조각과 졸업. 2025년 도쿄 예술 대학 대학원 미술 연구과 조각 전공 수료.
요코테 태기의 실천은, 몸의 경치나 사건에 의해 흔들리는 감정으로 시작된다. 존재와 부재, 비언어적인 교환, 눈으로는 파악할 수 없는 미세한 존재나 사건. 가로테는 물질과 그 배경에 있는 보이지 않는 교감에 눈을 돌리고, 그들을 정중한 눈빛으로 집합체 안에 묻힌 개 존재나 다양한 시간의 흐름을 떠올리게 한다.
인간과 비인간, 현재와 기억, 현실과 상상이 자연과 같은 자리에 흐르는 가운데, 그러한 타인과의 조용한 공명은 그 함정에 눈을 돌리는 태도이며, 우리와 사회와 세계와의 보다 깊은 연결을 촉진하는 것이다.

Born in 1998. Raised in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Completed his BFA in Sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2021, followed by his MFA in Sculpture in 2025.
Yokote's practice is rooted in the emotions stirred by the landscapes and events of his immediate surroundings: presence and absence, non-verbal exchanges, minute existences and phenomena that flicker on the edge of perception.
Drawn to both the material world and the invisible forces that move beneath it, Yokote, with a quiet gaze, lifts individual existences buried with in larger collectives and uncovers the multiple currents of time that run through them.
As the human and non-human, present and memory, reality and imagination fl ow naturally into the same space, this quiet resonance with others reflects an attitude toward the spaces in between—through which a deeper connection between ourselves, society, and the world.
