"Houkou," the ending theme for the sixth season of TV anime "Kingdom," was written, composed, and arranged by Tomonari Sora himself. Drawing inspiration from the world of Kingdom, this energetic track expresses the theme of "clash of beliefs" through sound, boasting an overwhelming sense of realism. With the cooperation of the American football team, Tomonari Sora himself conducted field recordings of sounds such as the rubbing of protective gear, the stomping of feet on the ground, and rough shouts, realistically recreating the heat and tension of the battlefield. On top of that sound design, the song incorporates the soul-stirring cries of those who remain true to their beliefs, resulting in a work brimming with scale and passion.
And, a special video featuring TV anime "Kingdom" and Sora Tomonari's "Roar" has been released on the official "Kingdom" TV anime YouTube channel! This video is a work in which the worldview of the song and the feelings of the characters resonate with each other through memorable scenes from the anime series. Be sure to check it out, paying attention to the lyrics, which are cleverly designed to evoke Kingdom!
