The film being screened at ELLE CINEMA Produce this time is Faces in Places (2017), a documentary starring the famous French artist JR. Director Agnès Varda (1928-2019), known as the "grandmother of the French New Wave," made her presence felt with her unique perspective in the film industry at a time when there were fewer female directors than there are today. Her early masterpieces include Cleo from 5 to 7 (1961), which depicts the protagonist's feelings in almost real time, set in Paris in the 1960s, and Winterreise (1985), which won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. She also produced excellent documentaries, such as Faces in Places, which will be screened this time.

The film "Faces, Places, Places" is a road movie in which 80-year-old director Agnes Varda and a young man named JR travel together through the French countryside, interacting with local people and creating art together. The warmth of the art born from interactions with people is sure to enrich the hearts of the audience at MYAF.
