MATSUBA

A rhythm unit that musically captures the intonation of Rakugo performers and combines it with techno electronic sounds.
The duo consists of Katsura Shigenoshin, a storyteller of Kamigata Rakugo, a traditional Kansai performing art, and Reochiba, a computer musician active in the global techno scene.
At the live performance, Katsura Shigenoshin will take the microphone and Reochiba will perform making full use of the synthesizer.
The unit name comes from Shofutei Matsuba, a rakugo performer who was once active in the Kamigata region.
