Gizagoon
Influenced by wood carvings of bears and folk art from all over Japan, I create my works while cherishing traditional wood carving techniques.
I aim to create wooden bear carvings that will bring a smile to your face, using motifs such as mountain climbing and scenes from everyday life.

A brand born from "My Wish"
This time, I created tableware for everyday use.
I painted each piece individually, cherishing the inspiration I drew, much like creating a drawing.
Yawaiya
I run a craft shop selling folk art pottery in a house that was relocated from a 160-year-old traditional Japanese house.
While distributing items that are a part of everyday life, I also write about folk art and local culture.
The attic is open to the public as a private library, housing approximately 3,000 books collected as reference materials.
We once lived a normal life, like everyone else, and we sell products that make everyday life a little lighter.
Keiichi Asakura
Born in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. He runs a folk art pottery shop and a private library called "Yawaiya" in the mountains of Takayama. He has relocated a 150-year-old traditional Japanese house and lives there with his wife, son, and cat, spending his days selling pottery, reading books, and writing books.
