The images that pass before our eyes are flattened by liquid crystal displays. The real world flows away smoothly and flat between the thumbs gripping a smartphone. Ham Seongju focuses on the "boundaries of experiencing images" by transferring the images that appear on smartphones and computer monitors every day onto canvas through multiple processes. Collecting physical and digital images through a variety of routes, he primarily uses familiar subjects as motifs, transposing them all onto the canvas without any hierarchy, through his own body.
