Mariko Kitajima

Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1987. Graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Faculty of Art and Design, Tokyo Zokei University, majoring in painting in 2014.
I believe that within the vague existence that is myself there are countless past "present moments" and "selves," which continue to influence me and create my current perceptions. I feel as though I am depicting and recording how I perceive the world. I also hope that my work will provide an opportunity for people to look closely at their own "present moments and selves."

2023 "Hide and Seek" (MEDEL G ALL ERY SHU, Tokyo)
2023 "CONCERTO" (Lurf Museum, Tokyo)
2025 "Carpe Diem" (PARCO MUSEUM, Tokyo) and others.
