Born in Tokyo in 1995. Studied contemporary art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
She creates works that critically capture the sociopolitical situation in Japan from the perspectives of feminism and postcolonialism. Her representative works include the After the Quake series, which is themed on the postwar history of nuclear power in Japan and the United States from the atomic bombing to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, the I hate flowers series, which expresses the context of girls' anime/manga as feminist art, and the Refracted Sunlight series about abortion rights in Japan. In 2025, she will hold her first curated exhibition, "Was 'Originally Woman the Sun'?"
