Contemporary artist
Ken Yoneya and Julia Yoneya are an artist unit. They conduct thorough research on environmental and social issues, and transform them into works that are beautiful, humorous, and subtly venomous, using a unique method that allows them to develop diverse forms of expression including installations, videos, and performances. Major exhibitions include the Venice Biennale (representing Australia, 2009), the Singapore Biennale (2013), the Honolulu Biennale (2017), and the Matsu Biennale (2025). Major solo exhibitions include "The Last Temptation" (National Gallery of Australia, 2015–2016), "Ken Yoneya + Julia Exhibition: That's Why I Want to Be Saved" (Kadokawa Musashino Museum, 2020–2021), and "CRYSTAL PALACE" (art cruise gallery, Tokyo, 2025). In recent years, they have also been engaged in organic farming in a rural area of Kyoto while creating and exhibiting their work globally.

Contemporary artist duo
Ken + Julia Yonetani are an artist duo. Grounded in careful research into environmental and social issues, they employ a distinctive approach that transforms these themes into works that are at once beautiful and infused with both humour and a critical edge. Their practice spans a wide range of media, including installation, video, and performance.
Selected solo exhibitions include The Last Temptation (National Gallery of Australia, 2015–2016), Ken + Julia Yonetani: That Is Why I Want to Be Saved (Kadokawa Culture Museum, Major) 2020–2021), and CRYSTAL PALACE (art cruise gallery, Tokyo, 2025).
In recent years, while also practicing organic farming in rural Kyoto, they have continued to produce and exhibit their work internationally.
