Born in 2002.
In 2021, I entered the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts. While studying design at university, I began to develop an interest in the boundary between art and design. Within the field of design, which emphasizes function and purpose, I was strongly drawn to the ambiguity of the acts of "seeing" and "communicating" themselves, and the moments when sensory discrepancies arise. In particular, I have created works, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional, that focus on the differences that arise between images reproduced on digital media such as photographs and monitors, and the world perceived by human vision, and the "visual bugs" that appear within that difference.
Furthermore, in the art collective "Art corrective ALT" to which I belong, we conduct art-based workshops for companies and local governments, and based on the inspiration gained from these workshops, we develop a project to create artwork that symbolizes the organization. The aim is to visualize the philosophy of the organization or region through art and to generate dialogue. This activity, which connects artwork creation with engagement with society, has been a catalyst for me to strongly cultivate the awareness of "opening up art to society."
