  • ART FAIR - MEET YOUR ARTISTS
Born in Akita Prefecture in 1994.
Graduated from Akita Public University of Arts, Arts & Roots major in 2017.

This artist primarily creates paintings related to the hunting and Matagi culture of the Tohoku region. Having obtained a hunting license himself, he documents and expresses his relationships with various creatures and nature he encounters through hunting experiences.
My creative drive lies in moving back and forth between macroscopic and microscopic perspectives, questioning the correlation between "the origin of life" and "humans, living things, and nature," and dissolving the boundaries between them.
He engages with the mountains both as a material and a motif, engaging with them daily through fieldwork that traces the origins and cycles of life and the remnants of memory, such as extracting glue from dissected bears, using tree stumps as canvases, and collecting paint from stones.
