  • ART FAIR - MEET YOUR ARTISTS
Arisa Nakayama (euglena) is an installation artist based in Tokyo. Born in 1993, she was born in Japan to a Chinese-Thai parent and a Peruvian-born Japanese parent.
Based on the concept of "rediscovering oneself in innocence," the artist creates interactive works constructed from dandelion fluff, without relying on artificial power. Starting from psychological and bodily sensations, the work opens up awareness to the flow of time within people. The artist also creates works using dandelion fluff that did not develop into seeds.
In recent years, she has created a two-dimensional series called "my passage note," which combines Tengujo paper and embroidery. While her installation works open our consciousness to universal time, this series imprints sensations and experiences that have passed through the body, and personal "passages," onto thin layers of washi paper and thread.
In 2025, the project "Artnomad" was launched, in which the artworks would not remain in one place but would travel to various locations such as homes, schools, and tea rooms. While updating the relationship between the artworks and the living environment, the project attempts to reorganize the senses within everyday life.

Hakobune G ALL / hakobune G ALL

Our activities began with the serious realities of a shortage of successors and regional decline that our representative encountered while traveling to farmlands across Japan. A strong sense of crisis arose, fearing that if things continued as they were, agricultural techniques that support healthy living, and the craftsmanship culture that has accompanied them, would be lost. This led us to continue our efforts to "properly inherit and develop valuable Japanese culture Miraie."

Ark G ALL breathes new life into antique tools and collectibles nurtured by the local culture of Japan. What they particularly value is the "aesthetic sense" built upon Japan's ancient lifestyle and culture, and the "circular" philosophy of cherishing and continuing to use things. Rather than wasting new resources, they rediscover the unique expressions of existing materials, such as the knots in the wood grain, the wear and tear on the lacquer, and the tranquility of the stone, and arrange them into forms that fit into modern life. This initiative aims to pass on the skills of local producers and artisans to the next generation and realize a sustainable lifestyle that minimizes the burden on the environment.

Furthermore, Ark G ALL offers large bonsai trees that have stood the test of time for over 100 years, and antique tools that reflect the changing seasons. We propose ways to incorporate the overwhelming vitality and stories they exude into modern life, acting as a bridge connecting Japan as a whole, the world, and local communities.
