Born in Tokyo in 1973. Using industrial sewing machines, she has presented a number of works that expand the boundaries of the medium of embroidery while questioning the value of humanity and labor, which has continued to change since modernization. He graduated from Goldsmiths College London in 1998 with a degree in Textiles and received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Art Institute of Chicago School of the Arts in 2001.
His recent solo exhibitions include "Embroidery Boy Forever" (Meguro Museum of Art, Tokyo, 2024). He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Japan and abroad, including "World Classroom: Japanese Language, Mathematics, Science, and Society in Contemporary Art" (Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, 2023), "Re construction" (Nerima Art Museum, 2020), and "Unfolding: Fabric of Our Life" (Center for Heritage Arts & Textile, Hong Kong, 2019).
