Born in Iwate Prefecture in 1998. Graduated from the Department of Printmaking, College of Fine Arts, University of Tsukuba in 2021. Completed the Global Seminar at Kyoto University of the Arts Graduate School in 2023. 5th batch of Kuma Foundation scholarship recipients. Recipient of WATOWA ART AWARD 2021 Special Award, CAF Award 2022 Selected Award, Marunouchi Art Award 2023 French Embassy Award, etc. Matsuda Haru references the history of human-made reproductions and creates works that incorporate many different reproduction techniques. He processes 3D scans in VR, and replicates natural objects that cannot be replicated in real space by silkscreen printing or drawing on statues. In recent years, in addition to two-dimensional works, he has also produced videos and sculptures.
