Born in Tokyo in 1969. He studied at Aichi Advanced Ceramics Technology School and apprenticed under Masaaki Inomata for five years. His participation in the Sue ware restoration project in 2016 sparked his fascination with the beauty of ancient times, and he is currently working on recreating ancient Sue ware.
Through vessels that subtly exude a presence in everyday life, and works that attempt to reflect the inner world through bird motifs commonly used by ancient people, the artist aims to elevate Sue ware to a contemporary form.
