中村 耕士

Koji Nakamura was born in 2001 in Nagano Prefecture and is a young artist currently attending the Department of Intermediary Arts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. In February 2023, he exhibited a large-scale installation consisting of 100 puppet works at the two-person exhibition "Another day Another Dollar" held at the "Former Cinema" in Tokyo. In his hometown of Suwa, where Nakamura was born and raised, huge wooden pillars have been worshipped since ancient times. In this way, Nakamura respects the spirit of "animism," which believes in spiritual beings in nature, and his attachment to objects, and explores them through his works.
