Born in Mie Prefecture in 1994. Moved to the United States in 2016 and worked as an assistant to Reki Yamaguchi on his artwork. After returning to Japan in 2019, he has been based in Shizuoka Prefecture and continues to exhibit his work both domestically and internationally.
Images created on a computer are printed onto canvas, and then painted over them, depicting universal motifs such as flowers and landscapes. By combining the intricate images created by the multiple layers of special prints with the physical traces of the brush, the surface gains depth. Through this unique method, the artist explores a painting expression where digital and analog coexist. By considering the relationship between ever-changing times and unchanging themes, the artist is confirming the nature of painting in the contemporary world.
