Sayuntaek graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, College of Art, Kookmin University, with a doctorate in painting, and is exploring the phenomenological moment and the specificity of painting in which temporality intervenes within the pictorial plane. In his work exploring the kinetics of time and space connected to the everyday environment, and the asymmetric reasons for consciousness and forgetting, he has participated in Lee Eun-ro Art Museum, Daegu Art Factory, OCI Museum of Art, Sejong Center Museum of Art, Yangpyeong County Museum of Art, Soma Museum of Art, Daejeon Museum of Art, Ilmin Art Museum, Wolverhampton Art Museum (UK), National Museum of Macedonia (Skopje), Arko Art Center, and the Gwangju Biennale Special Exhibition.
