Ko Bong-soo is a sculptor who paints. He won the Grand Prize in the Unconceived category at the 22nd Korea Art Exhibition and has held many invited solo exhibitions. He says about his own work, "If my sculptures express a refined inner world, my paintings show the unrefined and immediate inner world. At the same time, I try to express a stereotyped and free-spirited contemplative inner world. By using external objects as the theme of my work, I want to look back on my own inner self and bring out existential questions in my paintings. Who am I, where do I come from and where am I going... What is the meaning of my existence and the origin of my existence..."
