Born Hyogo in 1986, he creates sculptures that evoke human consciousness, traces and memories. In recent years, he has focused on a series of three-dimensional reconstructions of graffiti left around town, turning them into wood sculptures. He travels around the world relentlessly using Google Street View to find graffiti. He expands the image of these anonymous, two-dimensional overlapping graffiti into depth, then replaces them with wood sculptures. He is increasingly presenting performances and installations that research the memories of places and combine them with media such as video and photography.
