AHMED MANNAN

AHMED MANNAN's main creative practice involves transforming materials such as his own clothing and cotton, which is similar to human skin, and hardening them with glue and gesso to create supports; painting motifs based on photographs he has taken himself on rectangular canvases; holding exhibitions that combine paintings with other media such as video and ceramics; and creating his own original paints to suit the themes he deals with. His motifs in his work include his own Identity, the religious dogmatic experiences he has had since childhood, and current concerns in his daily life.
