山谷佑介

Born in Niigata Prefecture in 1985, Taka Ishii is a photographer who combines meticulous observation with firsthand experience. Since gaining attention in 2013 with "Tsugi no yoru e," which captured the changing landscape of youth culture, he has continued to explore contemporary society through diverse themes, navigating the space between documentary and conceptual photography. His major exhibitions include "KYOTOGRAPHIE" (2015), "Tokyo International Photography Festival" (2015), solo exhibition "KAI KOO" (Yuka Tsuruno Gallery, 2021), "VOCA Exhibition 2021" (Ueno Royal Museum, 2021), "The 14th Ebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions" (Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, 2022), solo exhibition "ONSEN" (Taka Ishii Gallery Photography / Film, 2024), and exhibitions at the Condé Nast headquarters in New York, among others, where he has presented his work both domestically and internationally.
