ESOW (BLOCK PARTY)

Born in Tokyo in 1972.
He started skateboarding at the age of 13, moved to the United States at the age of 17, encountered graffiti, and developed his own unique style influenced by the Edo period, which is his roots.
Based in Asakusa, he exhibits his works not only in Japan but also in America, Europe, Asia, and other regions.
His medium of expression is wide-ranging and flexible, including paper, walls, wood, and three-dimensional objects. He was a founding member of "T19," a pioneering group in Japanese skate culture, and also a member of "Daizu Experiment," a group that made a mark in the history of Japanese graffiti.

BLOCK PARTY

An open space where music and art, the street and the city, and the cultural memories rooted there intersect.
ESOW, Kawamura Kosuke, Face Oka, NAIJEL GRAPH, MHAK｜Masahiro Akutagawa, and LY. The six artists will launch BLOCK PARTY at MYAF2025, tracing their own musical roots and memories of the city of Tokyo.
An attempt to reexamine local culture, which has been formed through the natural intermingling and resonance of different disciplines.
